Reduce your Risk for Heart Attack
Heart attacks have become more and more common. And the number of people experiencing a fatal event are increasing each year. There are a lot of reasons for this increase and usually more than a few "bad habits" in a persons life that can put them at an increased risk. Today, I am happy to report that there is a very simple habit you can adopt tomorrow that will decrease your risk!
Drinking 20 ounces of water upon awakening in the morning and allowing 20 minutes before eating breakfast can greatly decrease your risk for heart attack.Your body is about 83% water, your brain and muscles are about three-quarters water, and even your bones pack 22% water. Water contributes to every single metabolic process in your body, including absorbing nutrients and removing toxic waste.
Dehydration, on the other hand, can elevate at least four independent risk factors for heart disease: whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, hematocrit, and fibrinogen. Heart attacks occur more frequently in the morning, when your blood is thicker because of water loss while you’re sleeping.
Drinking 20 ounces of water in the morning also helps remove toxins from your body, increases your metabolism, and serves to start your daily water consumption on a great note. Water is crucial in aiding digestion. The consumption of 20 ounces as you awake will awaken your digestive system and push toxins out. The awakening of your digestive system and your bodies need to regulate the temperature of the water consumed causes your metabolism to spring into action, which long term will aid weight loss. Finally, starting your day with 20 ounces of water will get you closer to 100 ounces, which is what I believe every human should consume per day! Give it a try!
