I know what you are thinking, “Of course he would say that”, and although I have no data, to back it, I can say from working with many people, over the years, that people who eat a lot of whole foods get sick less. 1. Don’t Smoke- Hopefully this one is a given, but if not, know that the chronic damage done to the lungs make them vulnerable to more colds, and other seasonal viruses like broncitis. 

2. Eat More Fruits and Vegetables(Preferable Fruit)- Fruits are loaded with antioxidants, and have serious power over the viruses trying to attack are cells and make us sick. Taking in more fruit and vegetables will increase your odds of staving off the sicknesses that you are bound to encounter.

4. Get Rest- If you are trying to avoid sickness this season you must make a plan to get plenty of rest! Your body is working overtime while you are awake, and tends to use the time you are asleep to assure your body is not exposed to and overtaken by viruses. We all know, 8 hours is the right number, so make a plan to get at least close this season
